| A very versatile running back. He is a tough runner, picking up yards after contact consistently and seems to have a knack for breaking tackles and coming out of the pile. Smith is also a solid receiver out of the backfield. He is effective on screen passes and split out as a wide receiver and catches the ball with his hands. Smith is patient in the backfield; waiting for his blocks to develop and shows good acceleration through rushing lanes. |

As a senior, Smith rushed for 1010 yards and 23 touchdowns, spending the second half on the bench for most of Liberty’s contests. He also excelled at strong safety, making 77 tackles, intercepting four passes and returning two of them for touchdowns.
As a junior, Smith carried the ball 214 times for 1340 yards and 28 touchdowns. He also caught 16 passes for 132 and three touchdowns. |
