Wilson High School lost 19 starters this year, but still went 11-2 this season before losing in the district semifinals to Cumberland Valley on the last play of the game. Much of their success was due to great team effort, but Tyler Beck certainly helped lead the way.   Full Story

Tiree Eure was somewhat of an enigma in high school as he always had the talent, but was always injured as well, forcing him to head to prep school at Lackawanna for two years. Today, the former Parkland High School player committed to Minnesota.   Full Story

Downingtown, Pa., product Louis Smith Jr. had some injuries to deal with as a junior, but while he was on the field this season he was a big-play waiting to happen as he averaged 28 yards per catch at wide receiver.   Full Story

The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reported in Thursday's edition that Duquesne offered a scholarship to sophomore guard Tyler Scott from Gateway H.S. in Monroeville. Tyler's father, Rod, was a Duke ('79-'82) under head coach Mike Rice. Scott is the latest Duquesne-family connection that head coach Ron Everhart has made a strong component of his recruiting effort.   Full Story

After missing out on a scholarship offer from Rutgers in February, Andrew Opoku finally got one when he visited the school on Wednesday. However, Rutgers did not get the commit it was hoping fo. Instead, Opoku, a safety at who is at Fork Union (Va.) Military Academy, celebrated Thanksgiving by choosing another Big East school.   Full Story

Today, he is scheduled to meet with Rutgers coach Greg Schiano.
