The Temple football team made an unannounced switch from Vaughn Charlton to Chester Stewart at quarterback Thursday night. It wasn’t the only surprise, as the Owls needed a last-second, 18-yard field goal from freshman kicker Brandon McManus to beat a one-win Miami team, 34-32, and extend the Owls’ winning streak to seven games.   Full Story

There was a scene midway through the third quarter of Navy's 27-24 loss to Temple before 28,305 at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium on Saturday where Navy quarterback Kriss Proctor was receiving treatment for an ankle injury on the sideline. Nearby, sophomore quarterback Mike Stukel began taking warm-up snaps from center and put on a headset to communicate with the coaches in the press box.    Full Story
