On Thursday, the Owls picked up a verbal commitment from 6-5, 230-pound tight end Chris Parthemore of Cedar Cliff High School in Camp Hill, Pa.

Exactly one month ago, Parthemore told Scout.com that he had a scholarship offer from Temple, but he was waiting to make his college decision. Pittsburgh, UConn, and Boston College were also recruiting him, he said.

Parthemore took unofficial visits to Temple and Pittsburgh in September. His brother is a Pitt student. But Temple was his ultimate choice.

This season, Parthemore has 22 receptions for 340 yards and three touchdowns, according to PennLive.com. He is currently ranked as the nation's No. 86 tight end prospect by Scout.com while another recruiting service ranks him among the nation's "Fab 50" tight ends.
