Temple
this weekend, adding more beef to Coach Al Golden’s growing 2008 recruiting class. The Owls had been pursuing the twin offensive linemen since they camped on North Broad Street this summer.
“I didn’t really know much about Temple going into the camp and I can tell you that I was very impressed with the coaching staff and their way of doing things,” Pat Boyle (6-5, 280) said. “They worked us very hard and it was a regimented camp which is something that I really liked. The campus is like a little town within the city and was pretty nice as well."
After attending Temple’s camp in June, the Boyle brothers were invited to the team’s season-opening practice on “Senior Day” in early August. In addition to Temple, they both had scholarship offers from Towson. Teams in the ACC and Big East showed interest this fall, but the brothers decided to stop waiting for additional offers this past week.
But it wasn’t just a case of settling on Temple.
“I think they have a good amount of energy with the new coaching staff and they are really searching high and low for the right kind of kids,”
Sean Boyle
(6-5, 275) said. “I have been there twice and thought the campus was really nice and really felt like there was a family atmosphere.”
Boyle and Boyle both project as offensive guards.
