Temple-bound quarterback Kevin Kroboth returned from a knee injury and threw four touchdown passes to lead Nazareth (Pa.) High School to a 40-14 victory over Allentown Dieruff this past weekend. Kroboth had missed his team's previous two games after taking a helmet to the knee in Nazareth's season opener.

Temple-bound quarterback Kevin Kroboth returned from a knee injury and threw four touchdown passes to lead Nazareth (Pa.) High School to a 40-14 victory over Allentown Dieruff this past weekend. Kroboth had missed his team's previous two games after taking a helmet to the knee in Nazareth's season opener.

Kroboth didn't waste any time making an impact in his return to the lineup. His first pass went for a 57-yard touchdown. His second pass went for a 24-yard touchdown. Kroboth finished 5 of 10 for 145 yards and four scores. He also ran the ball five times for 45 yards.

Kroboth is projected to play wide receiver at Temple.

Another future Owl that's playing quarterback this year is Malcolm Williams of Reading (Pa.) High School. After playing multiple backfield positions in Reading's first three games, Williams was the primary signal caller in a 19-18 loss to Lancaster's J.P. McCaskey this past weekend. He completed 9 of 21 passes for 134 yards, with two interceptions. He also ran the ball 13 times for 65 yards.

Wide receiver Deven Baker of Bound Brook (N.J.) High School had another big day in his team's 49-16 victory over South Hunterdon. Baker caught a 24-yard TD pass and totaled four receptions for 100 yards.

Wideout Cedric Hammond of St. John's Collegiate High School in Washington, D.C., had two catches for 43 yards in a 14-11 victory over Good Counsel. The victory was huge for St. John's, which was knocked out of the WCAC playoffs by Good Counsel in each of the past two years.
