Seattle (Wash.) Prep athlete Tere Calloway was banged up early this year, but returned to playing both sides of the ball by the end of the regular season. In addition, he has been trying to trim down his long list of offers.
"It was trimmed, but lately I talked a lot of new schools like Kentucky, they could be the next offer," said Calloway. "I am going to take an official visit there in January. I am talking to Louisville and Rutgers. There are still schools looking at me from my senior film."
Calloway isn't sure on all of his official visits, but has some set in stone.
"Southern Miss has locked that down on December 7th," said Calloway. "Then I already visited Nevada. Kentucky is going to get one and the last two are up for grabs."
Calloway talked about trying to balance his senior season and the recruiting attention that has been coming his way.
"I definitely been able to focus and enjoy football. But it is extremely stressful," said Calloway. "I have 16/17 offers and all those coaches are calling you and people are pulling you different ways. When you have good relationships with different schools and you are just trying to see which are best for you."
The 5'11" 185lbs prospect talked about the criteria he will use to make his final decision.
"The coaching style and the coaches will be one of the big things for me. I want to visit during the season so I can see that and how they operate," said Calloway. "I was able to see that at Nevada. I want to talk with academic counselors about majors and where I would fit."
"The campus isn't a big thing, not huge, but the feel and environment matter," said Calloway. "Then the depth chart. I'll be open to redshirting if it's best for me, but if I play corner I already have the size and weight so I want to play."
